Dr Pat Ntuli
Cardiologist
Dr Pat Mahungwane Ntuli is currently a Consultant Cardiologist at Melomed Tokai
- a world-class medical facility with a dedicated 24-hour heart and emergency centre.
The Melomed Tokai facility has built the first Catheterization Laboratory & Heart
Centre of it’s kind, and Dr Ntuli is currently the only cardiologist in the Southern
Peninsula practising within a catheterization laboratory - a unique situation which
greatly benefits his valued patients.
In 2004, Dr Ntuli completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Name
of Institution at the University of South Africa. In 2010, he finished his Masters
of Medicine in Internal Medicine. Thereafter, he completed a Fellowship of the College
of Physicians (FCP), South Africa, at the Colleges of Medicine in South Africa (CMSA).
In 2015, he completed a certificate in Cardiology at the Colleges of Medicine in
South Africa. During his undergraduate training, Dr Ntuli received several distinctions
in Internal medicine, general surgery and orthopaedics.
Dr Ntuli started his medical career as an Intern at JHB General Hospital, where
he gained broad experience in surgery (GIT, General, Trauma and Vascular) Gynecology
and Internal medicine. Since then, he has gained experience in a variety of settings,
including Themba Hospital, George Mukhari Hospital, and MEDUNSA. From 2012 to 2015,
he was a Fellow in Cardiology for the Discovery Foundation Sub-specialty Scholarship.
When Dr Ntuli isn’t hard at work at Melomed Tokai, he serves as a consultant cardiologist,
Research Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital.
Dr Ntuli prides himself on providing exceptional heart and vascular care for patients
in the Cape Town Area. His comprehensive approach to care means that both patients
and families get the support they need.
He believes that it is important to help all his patients obtain optimal health
status. Dr Ntuli is passionate about creating treatment plans that assist his patients
to return to a better quality of life.
